Both the Slopestyle and the SBX course are designed for mid level stage 3 athletes to ensure that athletes are safe to compete
in both diciplines.

SBX Time Trail: The course is placed in the same place as we will be using for the Canada Winter Games next year with lower
level features and obsticles to ensure safety all riders. The riders will all be run 1 at a time.
Slopestyle: There will be a combination of 2 jumps and 2 rail/box features the jumps will be approximately 20’ in length. The
course layout will be rail/box to Jump #1 to Jump #2 then finishing with rail/box feature #2.

Eligibility
Must be an active member in good standing of the Alberta Snowboarding Association.􀀁Athletes must be a resident of Alberta,
and will represent the Alberta Games Zone of their permanent residence. There are 8 zones in Alberta each zone is allocated 6
male spots and 2 female spots. In this qualifier we are doing an overall ranking between slopestyle and SBX based on number of
riders. For example if we have 50 riders 1st place will get 50 points, 2nd 49 and so on. We will then add the points for each
discipline to give the overall ranking. It is possible that athletes that only compete in one evnt may be able to qualify over
another athlete that competed in both. Once we have got the zone finalists will reach out to all athletes with a confirmation of
acceptance to compete in the AWG. Any remaining spots will fall to the fill policy listed on the AWG Snowboard Tech Package.

their bib by end of Slopestyle on Sunday. Any athletes that do not return their bib will be charged a $25 fee.
