Coaching Program
The first step to embark on your journey as a Snowboard Coach is to become a member of the Canada Snowboard Coaching Program (CSCP) and complete the Comp Intro Course. This program equips coaches with the essential training and knowledge required to effectively guide their athletes and maintain a consistent approach, regardless of where they work in Canada. To be eligible to work with a Snowboard Club sanctioned by the Alberta Snowboard Association, obtaining your CSCP license and certification is mandatory. To get more information about the various levels of coaching certification and the certification process, please visit the CSCP website.
In Alberta, coaches can reach out to our dedicated Coach Development Coordinators for guidance on their Coach Pathway. Trevor D’Hondt is also available as our new Coach Coordinator, specializing in high-performance coaching, and can be reached at highperformance@albertasnowboarding.com.
If you are interested in hosting a course in your area and have a group of 5 or more participants, please email us for further details.
