Welcome to Alberta Snowboard!

We are excited to welcome you into the inclusive space of snowboarding within our Province. From grassroots competition to high-performance teams and events, we cater to all looking to join our amazing community.

This section of the site is dedicated to getting you set up as a full fledged member of your provincial association and in turn a member of Canada Snowboard . Our goal is to provide you with all the resources and information you need to become a knowledgeable, insured and a licensed competitor, coach, judge, official, or volunteer.

Using the membership link above, you will be able to:

  • Purchase your annual membership (athlete, coach, official, volunteer, judge)
  • Obtain a FIS license to allow participation at FIS sanctioned events
  • Purchase Sport Accident Insurance (SAIP) which is highly recommended for all members and mandatory* for FIS licensed athletes
  • Get hooked up with industry deals through your Shred Hookups membership!

*Dependent on the level of FIS competition and location(s) of your planned FIS competitions will determine the level of SAIP insurance which is required to be purchased with your FIS license.

Please note that all memberships, FIS licenses and SAIP policies expire on June 30th of each year, regardless of the purchase date.

Volunteer Membership

Uncertified Level 1 officials* & Volunteers who are helping out at events. Ability to purchase Shred Hookups Supporter Membership to access Canada Snowboard Membership Discounts *Level 1 certified official: · Accomplished both theory and practical components · Theory: finished taking online or in-class official course (approx. 1 hour) · Practical: worked in any role at one Canada Snowboard sanctioned event in any of the disciplines: Park and Pipe (HP-SS-BA), Cross or Alpine snowboarding

Supporter

Sign up to stay up to date with all Canada Snowboard/PTSA news. Set up a subscriber account and purchase the Shred Hookups Supporter ‘Add on’ to get access to Canada Snowboard Member Deals. Ability to upgrade to Limited Participant, Recreational or Compete Membership. *No event/training liability insurance.

Support Staff Membership

Required by Support Staff (Integrated Support Team, Team Managers & Wax Technicians) who travel with teams and clubs to events and training - Ability to purchase Shred Hookups Supporter Membership to access Canada Snowboard Membership Discounts - Liability insurance covers participation at these specific events.
