About Us

Alberta Snowboard is the provincial sport organization dedicated to developing, supporting, and growing snowboarding across Alberta.

We work alongside clubs, coaches, athletes, resorts, and community partners to create accessible, inclusive pathways from first-time experiences to high-performance competition.

Our role is to build the system behind the sport. From grassroots programs and community events to coach education and provincial team development, we are focused on creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved and progress.

At our core, we believe snowboarding is more than a sport. It is a powerful tool for connection, confidence, and well-being. It brings people outdoors, builds community, and supports lifelong participation in physical activity.

We are committed to reducing barriers, expanding access across urban, rural, and Indigenous communities, and leading the way in creating safe, inclusive environments for everyone involved.

As part of the national sport system, we contribute to athlete development pathways while staying grounded in community impact. Our goal is to strengthen snowboarding at every level and ensure Alberta continues to lead in participation, development, and innovation in sport.
