Becoming a Member of Alberta Snowboarding comes with PERKS!

Alberta Snowboard is committed to its members to provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming space to all its Members.  Across our sanctioned clubs our snowboard community provides avenues for all from grassroots to high performance opportunities.

We know sport for life is the best way to ensure that we have active, life long memorable journeys, with a community of friends, that help lift us up even on the deepest powder days!

At Alberta Snowboard we lead various events and programs across the Province with GROM events, Elleboard Series, Provincial, National and International competitions. Check out our Programs page for more information on the opportunities for engagement for our members.

Additionally, all members in good standing with Alberta Snowboard and Canada Snowboard in sanctioned programming/competitions for the current season are afforded liability insurance and the opportunity to purchase sport accident insurance (SAIP). Please check out our Membership & Licenses page for more information on our membership categories.

At Alberta Snowboard we also know that riders LOVE SWAG! Canada Snowboard has teamed up with a bunch of partners to offer its Provincial Sport Association members – SHREDHOOKUPS!

Shred Hookups come included with most Alberta Snowboard memberships, and the opportunity to add Shred Hookups to those memberships which do not come inclusive.

Supporter

Sign up to stay up to date with all Canada Snowboard/PTSA news. Set up a subscriber account and purchase the Shred Hookups Supporter ‘Add on’ to get access to Canada Snowboard Member Deals. Ability to upgrade to Limited Participant, Recreational or Compete Membership. *No event/training liability insurance.

Support Staff Membership

Required by Support Staff (Integrated Support Team, Team Managers & Wax Technicians) who travel with teams and clubs to events and training - Ability to purchase Shred Hookups Supporter Membership to access Canada Snowboard Membership Discounts - Liability insurance covers participation at these specific events.

Volunteer Membership

Uncertified Level 1 officials* & Volunteers who are helping out at events. Ability to purchase Shred Hookups Supporter Membership to access Canada Snowboard Membership Discounts *Level 1 certified official: · Accomplished both theory and practical components · Theory: finished taking online or in-class official course (approx. 1 hour) · Practical: worked in any role at one Canada Snowboard sanctioned event in any of the disciplines: Park and Pipe (HP-SS-BA), Cross or Alpine snowboarding
